What is your earliest memory?
My earliest memory is dressing up and acting out the stories that my mom would read to me.
If you weren’t an actress, what other profession would you choose?
I would produce film and TV.
Describe a typical work day.
I get up check all my emails, answer and deal with any restaurant issues that need to be dealt with. After that I go to set and work a 12 hour filming day. When I get home I usually stop at my restaurant and check in to make sure everything is fine, then go home and memorize lines.
Is there a time you wish you’d lied?
Yes! Anytime that I hurt someone’s feelings I always think, “ugh I should have just lied,” but ultimately it always turns out better to just say it how it is.
What would you say to yourself if you could go back in time and have a conversation with yourself at age thirteen?
I would say, DRINK MORE WATER!!! For some reason it took me till last year to start drinking water everyday.

John Meyer – Continuum.
What are three websites—other than your email—that you check on a daily basis?

My mom — she honestly is the most incredible person in the world. And she is the reason I believed that I could do anything I wanted to in life.
Name three books that have impacted your life.

If you could relive one moment over and over again, what would it be?
Meeting my favorite person in the world. It was awesome.
How are you six degrees from Kevin Bacon?
Hmmmm not sure, lol, but I am sure something has crossed somewhere.
What makes you feel most guilty?
Not spending enough time with people I love.
How do you incorporate the work of other artists into your own?
I do it all the time. Other artists inspire me. I really believe in watching the best and learning from them.
Please explain the motivation/inspiration behind your role as Toby Nance on Primeval: New World.
I LOVE Toby. She is really just a techie who happens to have the best job in the world. She is loyal and loves the people that she works with and will really go to the end of the Earth for Evan and her team.
What is the best advice you’ve ever given to someone else?
The only way that you are going to do what you love is if you try. If it doesn’t work the first or hundredth time, then you’re meant to keep going because when it finally does your success will taste even sweeter.

CRYSTAL LOWE, a regular in sci-fi and thriller projects, is currently appearing on television screens across the country in Space TV’s new original mythological/action series Primeval: New World. The North American spin-off of the popular U.K. television series of the same name follows a specialized team of animal experts and scientists who discover dinosaurs and other dangerous predators emerging onto the streets of modern-day Vancouver through anomalies in time.
Lowe is known for her starring roles in the horror genre which include blockbuster features such as Killer Mountain, Yeti: Curse of The Snow Demon, Wrong Turn 2, Black Christmas, Snakes On A Plane, Masters of Horror, Scary Movie 4, Final Destination 3, and Children of The Corn: Revelations. The former model also starred as Vala Kandorian on the final season of Smallville.
Aside from her busy acting career, Lowe has gone into business, opening her Vancouver restaurant, Hyde, a Tim Burton-inspired room of oddity serving food and drink by leading mixologists.
