I finished it last night. Loved it! I am so incredibly impressed on so many levels by this book and the woman that wrote it.

I'm not sure I would have stumbled across it if not for your review so thanks very much for that!

Wow, what a fascinating subject! I'm going to grab this book right away. I only recently became aware of prosopagnosia as Oliver Sacks wrote about his own struggle with the condition in his last book.

Fantastic and encompassing review, thanks so much.

Thanks, Margie. And Heather has dealt with all of this with a smile on her face and kind words for others, always supportive and giving. Maybe that's the part of her character that made it possible for her to survive despite all of these difficult situations.

I am definitely adding this to my "must" read list!!! Sounds like such an interesting life...I believe there are moments in life when we all look inside and question our sanity....cannot imagine what it would be like to never know who anyone is just by looking at their face.

[...] My review of You Don’t Look Like Anyone I Know (Riverhead Books), the touching, courageous, heartbreaking memoir by Heather Sellers, is now live at The Nervous Breakdown. It’s the story of a woman who has face blindness. She can’t remember anyone’s face. Heather came down to Murray State where I’m getting my MFA to speak, and she was so funny, a great teacher, smart, beautiful, just a really giving person. I had no idea she had all of this going on. Really endearing, her story. Head on over for the full review and excerpts. [...]
