I just saw it off of Hulu and was absolutely blown away by Norma Nelson-Crow...wow. This lady is deluded, and yes, it did remind me of a Christopher Guest flick! The complete inability to see past her own cloud of a dream. Wow.

I also sent an e-mail to Misti Turbeville who is at Rapoport Academy in Waco thanking her for being the kind of educator who refuses to conform in the name of giving her students a fair, balanced look at the world at large. It's people like her who are the real heroes in our daily lives.

Thanks for posting this interview, it was excellent.

Heh. Good point. It did kind of seem like a Christopher Guest movie at times.

The movie was great. I wanted to shake a few of them, but it does feel pretty generational. I couldn't believe Pug was 52 in the first shot. I loved the minister doing his little Christian soldier routine. So unbearably corny and yet so dead on. The minister and the Bush memorabilia shop owner were so over the top that I had to remind myself that this wasn't a Christopher Guest movie.
